About Comics For A Cure
Comics For A Cure is an organization dedicated to financially assisting families battling pediatric cancer. Our annual stand up comedy event provides a great night of laughs for a mixed audience of comedy fans, philanthropists, and people who have experienced pediatric cancer first hand. Times are tough but children are still fighting for their lives every day, so we offer a creative opportunity for the community to come together in support of what really matters. By each contributing a little, we help these families relieve some of their overwhelming financial struggle. These parents live a life unlike any of us with additional responsibilities and stresses most of us could never imagine. They are the light and strength of their children and were brought into a world none of us know exists -- until it happens to your family. And for the families who have lost their children and shared their hearts and stories with us, it is our honor to provide a few hours of laughter. This show is to offer this amazing night of comedy to this very deserving group. Our comedy events are also for all medical staff, especially those in the field of pediatric cancer. These people, nurses, doctors, hospice workers, etc., made the choice to work with these children. They dedicate their lives to offer the treatment and answers for these families while supporting them along the way. These are true heroes and from their relationships with so many patients, they know how desperately this funding is needed. Of course, it is also a treat for all comedy fans! This is a great line up of talented, well-known comedians. Usually these performers would be headlining their own show so it's a rare treat to see them all together!
